Alpacas as guard animals
Alpacas have a natural protective nature that is proving to be a success in fending off foxes and domestic dogs during lambing. It is becoming very popular for farmers in Australia to introduce two wethers into a herd of sheep or goats as a cheaper and safer alternative to baiting.
